Established  in 2000 to own and operate construction services companies. First operating DBA RLH Construction founded in 2000 has completed $60M in commercial projects as a contractor. Landrieu Concrete’s Green Concrete Solutions

Landrieu Concrete’s commitment to total quality management (TQM) extends to every area of its operations including Health & Safety, and Environmental Management Systems. To help to build a more sustainable environment, Landrieu Concrete is focusing on Green; environmentally friendly concrete with low carbon dioxide emissions to produce energy saving construction. Landrieu Concrete is  leading the field with the promotion of Green sustainable concrete by using materials that represent a 75% saving on carbon dioxide emission against the more traditional type of conventional concrete made from Ordinary Portland cement. Our greatest focus is on the use of partial cement replacements such as PFA and GGBS.

Landrieu Concrete’s Ready-mix Concrete  

Ready-mix Concrete is manufactured in all of Landrieu Concrete’s Batch Plants according to its customers pre-- set recipes, and then delivered to a worksite where it is deployed. Landrieu Concrete produces precise concrete mixtures to be deployed to commercial and residential construction sites.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Grout Grout is typically a mixture of hydraulic cement and water, with or without fine aggregate; however, chemical grouts are also produced. Cementious grouts are used to fill voids and cracks in pavements, building and dam foundations, and brick and concrete masonry wall assemblies; to construct floor toppings or provide flooring underlayment; to place ceramictile; and to bind preplaced-aggregate concrete.

 

Backfilling A non-structural concrete used to prepare a surface to receive structural concrete, to fill excavated pockets in rocks, or to correct over-excavation.

 

 

 

Landrieu Concrete Strengths

Equipment Landrieu Concrete  has a substantial and growing fleet consisting of Concrete Pumps, Static Pumps, Placing Booms, Cement Bulkers, Truck-trailers, Diesel & Water Tankers. Our fleet strength is closely matched to meet our growing customer production targets. Maintenance on all Landrieu Concrete equipment is strictly planned and executed, to ensure the reliability of our assets performance. Landrieu Concrete even has several Concrete Pumps in it's fleet with a boom reach of 150 feet. This is very uncommon in most other concrete producer's fleets. These pumps are particularly useful on sites where reach is a big problem.

 

Systems Landrieu Concrete uses an "Operations and Fleet Management System" to control the optimal planning and execution on all daily concrete production, delivery and pumping programs. The system uses GPS and Wi-Fi networks to enable the live Visualization all operations covering the entire Supply Process, from Concrete Batching to the on-site arrival of trucks and Concrete Pumping. All potential logistical and quality issues are foreseen by this system, allowing pre-emptive action to be taken. The system automatically re-plans the supply schedules for supplies that may get behind schedule for whatever reason, to restore the status to the original plan, by allocating more resources and reducing the truck supply interval as required. In summary, it is an interactive logical system, which makes a highly dynamic and complex process, into a user friendly one which is easy to manage, and highly efficient on the use of productive resources.

The goal of the R&D team is to bring new or improved, cost effective products and services to the market and provide support to the company, in terms of business development, technical sales, production and quality control. Landrieu Concrete’s R&D focuses are:

Landrieu Concrete teams with R&D Concrete Laboratories to access facilities that are equipped with state of the art equipment that meets global testing standards that can:

• Prepare for testing and analysis aggregate samples for concrete, concrete specimens, cement paste and mortar.

• Test concrete workability, pumpability and rheology properties.

• Test the mechanical properties of concrete and cement by curing concrete specimens under standard or other controlled conditions.

• Evaluate degrees of hydration of concrete mixes.

• Investigate the effects of chemical and environmental exposure on concrete, including Resistance to Chloride Iron Penetration, Water Absorption, Water Penetration and Initial Surface Absorption.

Landrieu Concrete’s policy is that personnel engaged with concrete production must be well trained for ensuring quality concrete is produced at all times. This means that Landrieu Concrete is fully committed to the ongoing Training of all of its team members since everyone on the team is essential to Landrieu Concrete’s concrete production and deployment business. All Staff are regularly evaluated and their training needs are identified and the necessary training provided by Landrieu Concrete internal trainers and external industry organizations.

Safety Landrieu Concrete has comprehensive risk and safety management policies and procedures, based on the principle of accident prevention everywhere, at all times. These policies cover workplace safety, hazard identification, reporting and response mechanisms and the protection of people, processes and facilities. Environment We are implementing environmental management systems to meet ISO 14001 standards. All our activities are undertaken with the strictest environmental protection measures, and all employees are trained in this, as in our other policies and procedures. One of the main objectives of Landrieu Concrete is to provide a service that is environment friendly and safe. 

 

 

 

Health, Safety & Environment Policy(HSE) Landrieu Concrete  has a commitment to zero accidents and lost time injury (LTI) rates. The firm is compliant with all OSHA, EPA and State Health, Safety and Environmental standards. Further, Landrieu Concrete’s own rigorous quality and related health, safety and environment policies are mandatory and are consistently applied at all levels within the organization. This ensures that all processes and deliverables are fully compliant with regulatory standards and international best practices. Landrieu Concrete’s HSE policies and procedures are applicable to all our work sites and to our sub-contractors. To this end we empower all members of our staff with stop-work authority, and train them in risk assessment, hazard identification, accident and incident prevention and safe working practices.

At Landrieu Concrete, we understand that our product, concrete, is one of the most unique and versatile building materials in the world. It can assume virtually any shape and reach great strengths. Concrete is perishable in its plastic state and very “sensitive” from the time the raw materials are combined to the final product. Mixing, transportation, placing and curing can influence its plastic and hardened properties. This is why Landrieu Concrete places great emphasis on quality by expanding the parameters of its concrete quality management model from quality control to quality assurance. This we will achieve by teamwork, promptness of service, flexibility and the assurance of customer satisfaction. By maintaining a systematic approach for this we will ensure the productivity of the company and the security of our employees. At Landrieu Concrete we pride ourselves on consistency. All of our materials are stored and batched inside to enable us to monitor accurately, the moisture content. Ensuring the right slump is achieved every time. Our labs are well equipped with sophisticated equipments to render the best possible quality in our products. The quality is monitored at every stage, right from receipt of raw materials to dispatch and placing of concrete, which ensures that consistent quality reaches the customer. Several tests are conducted to maintain the quality of the concrete such as water consistency, strength and chemical analysis, workability etc. At Landrieu Concrete we are always testing and experimenting in order to bring you the latest in advanced concrete technologies that are suited to the local markets raw materials, environment and application. Scrupulous care and control is taken by Landrieu Concrete in all aspects of quality control and at all levels of company operations.Landrieu Concrete has a very comprehensive Concrete Quality Control system in place ensuring that the necessary quality checks are carried at all stages of the production process for delivering quality concrete. Landrieu Concrete Quality Control Personnel exert their continued and best efforts, aided by up-to-date technology to meet INTERNATATIONAL QUALITY STANDARDS. Emphasis is placed on cost effectiveness, enhanced safety, durability and simplicity of all quality control measures. Landrieu Concrete has the staff and equipment and technical collaborator resources necessary to compete with any product of International Standard, ensuring that all LCCI products comply with durability, workability and strength to meet its customers specific requirements.

 

 

 

Batching Plant Processing and Testing Landrieu Concrete produces a wide variety of mix designs for different construction needs and conditions. Mix designs are prepared in accordance with the international standards by our in house qualified Technical Engineers and verified and tested thoroughly to yield optimal performance before final approval by the client. Custom mix designs can also be developed based on customer requirements. The approved mix designs are fed in the computers of the fully automatic computerized batching plants at our production yards. Landrieu Concrete has comprehensive on-site laboratories at plant to monitor the quality of raw materials and the performance of mix designs to assure that concrete meets and exceeds specifications. These laboratories are fully equipped to carry out a wide range of aggregate and concrete tests. Raw materials and Concrete performances are monitored through a regimented daily sampling program.. We have a thorough system of quality control in place at all our batching plants. This helps us to identify, document and correct most problems before they reach the site. These procedures are also extended to the calibration and maintenance of all our batching and testing equipments. The batching plants are calibrated semi annually and all the equipments used in the laboratories are calibrated on a regular basis by an independent certified laboratory as per ASTM Standard requirements and calibration certificates are always available for review. The methods used in the calibration of all equipments are traceable to national/international standards. Trial mixes are also conducted in the labs to verify that the clients and consultants specification requirements are achieved. Before any transit mixer with a load of fresh concrete leaves the plant it is inspected by the lab technicians for workability and temperature. All test results are logged into the computer for statistical analysis and records are kept in the laboratory for review. In addition to the plant testing, samples are also taken at site for workability, temperature and strength testing in accordance with the client’s requirements.
